Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs in South Reno is a must-visit for anyone craving a classic American breakfast. With its friendly service and delicious food, it's no wonder this spot has been a local favorite for years. I've been a regular at Peg's for quite some time, and I always leave satisfied. The Denver omelette, minus the onions and with a side of avocado, is my go-to. It's always cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The portions are generous, so be prepared to leave feeling full. While parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, it's usually manageable. The overall atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. If you're in South Reno, be sure to stop by Peg's Glorified Ham & Eggs. You won't be disappointed!
My husband and I we t got breakfast last weekend! It was so delicious. I was worried that it was going to be a really long wait when I saw all the people, but we only waited 15 minutes. The restaurant was bustling, but we didn't feel rushed at all. The waitress was so sweet and friendly! Our food was delicious! I've never had pancakes there before, but I will definitely get them again. Their sausage was also so good!! I'm looking forward to going again!
Peg's South Meadow location might actually be the best breakfast spot in all of Reno. Over the years they e developed a great atmosphere, the food is consistent and always delicious, and the service is always friendly. Just like any breakfast spot, it can be busy around 10AM on weekends, but that's understandable. They keep the coffee coming and even offer unlimited toast! I often take people and they are shocked at how good it is, so I thought it would be good to leave a positive review
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and I consider myself a diner aficionado! I am visiting the Reno area for a volunteer assignment, and have eaten at several breakfast establishments throughout the city. Peg's is not only the best I've had here in Reno, but may rank among the best I've had in my travels throughout the United States... And I'm 69 years old! I had a relatively simple breakfast: an omelette with mushrooms, spinach, and jack cheese. One minor improvement could be adding additional cheese choices to the omelette menu, which are currently limited to Jack cheese and cheddar cheese. But despite that, the omelette was fantastic. In particular, what was especially good, is that everything was mixed into the eggs, as opposed to cooking the eggs and then dumping the items into the middle of the omelette and folding it over. To me, it made a huge difference and was extremely tasty and textured to my taste. Also, as part of the "omelette package "diners are entitled to unlimited toast, which I thought was a cool opportunity. Although I only had two small pieces of sourdough toast, it was extremely tasty, and I guess I could've had as much as I wanted! Further, the hashbrowns had just the right amount of salt on them, not overpowering at all, but extremely flavorful. In addition to the excellent food, service was fantastic. Further, I was greeted with a smile when I entered the restaurant and it's clear that ownership, which appears to still be in the family that created the restaurant, has created an environment that is welcoming to diners . Hats off for a great experience.
I really like huevos rancheros. Probably my favorite breakfast item. Peg's does a great job making it. There are a lot of options here. Someone asked if it was just like the standard breakfast place and I explained that you can get standard but also they also have Mexican breakfast, Hawaiian breakfast and usually a great special. Not a huge fan of the coffee here tbh. The fresh OJ is amazing but it's like $7 a glass now, which is just painful. Good breakfast/brunch place overall.
Pleasantly surprised. They serve Hawaiian breakfasts... Portuguese sausage and spam, yum.
Sunday brunch. I got Joe's scramble, very filling :) meat scramble was flavorful and hash browns were perfectly cooked. Kid finished her Minnie pancake, saving the whipped cream ears for last. The pork sausage in the Hawaiian breakfast was super flavorful and yummilicious! Place was homy and clean. Our server, Landon, was super nice and on top of things. Our coffee and water cups were never empty. He checked on us often but not too much, just right, and he always had a smile on his face. Kudos to this server!!!
Friday July 5. Came in for breakfast and there's not many people but that's okay. Lots of staff working and very nice and friendly people. We came here because the downtown location is a lot of times busy. Bailey was our waitress and did an amazing service for us. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero Skillet and my wife had the spam and eggs. My brother in-law had the pork chop breakfast. The food is so delicious and the service is great!
Had a quick trip to Reno to see family and stopped by Peg's Glorified Ham and Eggs. There are several locations in Reno so we tried the South Meadows location. Visited on. Saturday morning during the rush and was able to secure a table for 4. Our server was quick to take our drink order and provide the breakfast specials. Several great ones to choose from hotcakes, omelets or even burgers for those non-breakfast types. Menus was reasonably priced and from looking at other tables portions are healthy. Food was served very quickly as well as several coffee fill ups. Every thing was exactly what we ordered and seasoned perfectly. Restaurant was very clean and tables were serviced quickly. Great experience and recommend anyone in the area give them a try.
